Director Bassel El Khateeb began shooting his newseries "Hadath Fee Demashq" which is adapted from Dr. QahtanMohanna's novel "Wedad Min Halab" (Wedad From Aleppo).

"Hadath Fee Demashq" (Happened inDamascus) was re-written by scriptwriter Adnan Ouda to take place in Damascussince it is difficult to shoot in Aleppo.

The series is produced by the TV and Radio Associationand is an all cast starring Solaf Fawakhirji, Dema Qandelft, Wael Ramadan,Mayshoun Abou Asaad, Mostafa El Khany, Waddah Halloum, Rim Abdel Aziz, Lama ElHakim, Lena Diab, Ghofran Khadour and Saad Al Ghafri.

"Hadath Fee Demashq" happens in two separatetime eras, the first in 1947 where it focuses on the social and politicalchanges in Damascus due to the events taking place in Palestine, and the secondin 2001 where it shows the life of some personalities that faced lifeconditions in Damascus.
