Filmmakers Demand a Supreme Council for Film Industry Through Constitution

Mossad Fouda, head of Cinema professions syndicate, has stated in an exclusive interview with that there will be an announcement through a press conference during the coming 48 hours listing all of the demands and actions that could help resolve the current crisis in film industry. Daily meetings involving film artists and producers and are currently held to reach a collaborative solution to major issues.

Fouda revealed that the protection of film and art industry among constitution articles was the biggest demand that cinema professionals requested from Mohamed Saber Arab, minister of culture, who put together a committee to discuss the crisis.

Fouda pointed out that an article protecting film industry and professionals won't exist unless the state declares a national organization for cinema and the arts, which should deal with problems and disputes arising within the industry, and from which the affected professionals should ask for help, which means, a supreme council for film and art industry should be created through the new constitution, which was the case for “The Supreme Council for Journalism and Media”.
