LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum ofArt), one of the biggest art museums in the United States, honored Martin Scorsese and his nonprofit preservation organization, the FilmFoundation. LACMA screened the restored Nicholas Ray's “RebelWithout a Cause,” one of several film restoration undertaken byScorsese's foundation.

Many stars attended the Gucci sponsoredevent among them are: Tom Hanks, Leonardo DiCaprio, Amy Adams, Salma Hayek, James Franco, Kate Hudson, James Caan, Will Ferrell, Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner, Zoe Saldana, Kate Beckinsale and Drew Barrymore.

This is the third annual Art+Film Galamade by LACMA, a benefit reflecting the LACMA board’s newlyenlightened view that film is art and deserves a place in the museumalongside more traditional forms.
