Amr Waked Joins Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman in 'Lucy'

Inan interview with the newspaper AlMasry ElYoum, Amr Waked revealed hisparticipation in the new film by French director Luc Besson, titled 'Lucy',with Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman.

Waked stated that shooting has already startedin France, and that the film is a Sci-Fi. He also said that the project is atotally new experience to him, adding that Luc Besson's presence as the film'sdirector made him very enthusiastic, specially that he considers Besson to beone of France's best directors.

Waked will be playing the role of a French copof middle-eastern origins. The film follows Lucy, played by Scarlett Johansson,who is a drug smuggler, who turns into a super-hero after her body absorbs thedrugs she traffics.

Lucy is not Waked's first role ina foreign film. He previously starred in Salmon Fishing in the Yemen with Ewan McGregorand Emily Blunt, Contagion, with a number of Hollywood stars, and Syriana, with George Clooney.
