After three years of the release of her debut album “21” Adele's record is still setting sales records. The album has become the first record to sell more than 3 million digital copies. An inevitability more than a surprise, as a Rolling Stone editor said, the record continued to sell well in 2013.

The album was a smash success upon its release, becoming the best-selling album of the 21st century in Britain. The title came from the age Adele was when she recorded the tracks.

Adele — who also won a Best Original Song Oscar in 2013 for her James Bond theme-tune, “Skyfall,” is due to release a new album soon, possibly this year.
