James Rebhorn Dead at 65

American actor James Rebhornhas died inside his house last Friday, according to his agent. He was 65 years old.

The Homeland star's agent, Dianne Busch, declined to give details of the nature of his death.

Rebhorn started his career in the mid 1950's, and throughout his five-decade-career he amassed more than a hundred credits, of film and television. He often played astringent authorities, such as the headmaster in Scent of a Woman and lawyers on Boston Legal and The Practice. In Homeland, he played the father of CIA officer Carrie Mathison.
