Late actress Grace Kelly's children Albert, and princesses Caroline and Stephanie, have all accused Nicole Kidman's new film Grace of Monaco, which depicts their mother's life, of being based on ‘erroneous and dubious historical references’.

In response to the allegations, Kidman said that she understands why Princess Grace’s three children have spoken out against the film in which the Oscar-winner portrays their mother. ‘I know they’re upset. I would be, too, if it were my mother,’ she stated, in an interview with the Daily Mail. 'It's not meant to be a biopic. I certainly did my best to honor everything that was real and truthful in it,' she added.

Grace of Monaco has been chosen by the curators of Cannes Film Festival to be the next edition's opening film.
