The Return of Bassem Youssef’s “Al Bernameg” is Delayed Indefinitely

TV Channel MBC Masr announced it will delay the return of Bassem Youssef media program “Al Bernameg,” which was expected to return this Friday, May 30.

The announcement was posted on the official Facebook page for “Al Bernameg,” where MBC Masr and the Deutsch Welle network explained that the show would not be airing on the previously announced date. Both channels and the “Al Bernameg” team apologized for the delay and said they would offer additional information as it becomes available.

The superstar satirist also apologized to his fans on his personal Twitter account, indicating that he will provide more details about the dealy in the coming days. Youssef also included the hashtag “#tahia_albernameg” (#longlive_albernameg), which became one ofthe most used hashtags on Twitter within minutes of his post.
