European Film Panorama Releases 7th Edition Screening Schedule

The organizers of the 7th European Film Panorama, set to start next Wednesday, the 19th of November, have released the schedule of the event's screenings, which will take place in Galaxy theater in El Manial, and Odeon theater's Zawya in downtown Cairo.

The Panorama will feature screenings of 40 films, including the Nuri Bilge Ceylan's Winter Sleep, winner of the Palme D'or at the 2014 Cannes International Film Festival.

The spotlight of this year's Panorama will fall on Swiss documentary cinema, as it will screen films like The Laundry Room, My Father,The Revolution and Me, Stop-Over, The Shelter and Neuland.

The Carte Blanche section, curated by the three Egyptian directors Youssry Nasrallah, Nadine Khan and Ahmed Abdalla, will feature the screenings of Francois Truffaut's The 400 Blows (1959), Carl Theyodor Dreyer's Gertrud (1964) and Bela Tarr's The Turin Horse (2011).
