Zizi is a five-year-old girl whose family consists of Sabawi; an engineer who tries to invent a machine that transforms cotton into cloth, Sami ; a university student who falls for his neighbor, and Sanaa who dreams of becoming a movie star. Each of them tries to achieve what they want, which puts them in a series of comical paradoxes.

Zeezy is a five year old child. She is rather mischevious and talkative too, she also likes to butt into anything and everything. Zeezy presents to us the members of her household and we are first shown Sab’awy’s room which he calls his workshop. His room holds a machine which he invented himself, cotton is fed into one end and cloth comes out the other. Next we are shown Samy’s room, Samy is a college student who often comes back home with his shirt torn as the result of a brawl. Sanaa’s room is next, the walls of her room are filled with the posters of actors and actresses. She would also often stand in front of the mirror to perform to herself and to re-enact famous dramas – she hopes to one day become a TV star. Sab’awy is engaged to Fawziyah, the daughter of ‘Awad al-Shabrawy, a well known textiles engineer. Sab’awy cares for his machine more than his fiancé as he would tell her that 80% of his heart is devoted to the machine with the other 20% devoted to her. As for Samy, he is in love with their neighbor Layla who lives with her father and practices yoga – Samy begins practicing yoga too in order to get closer to her. Sanaa succeeds in meeting cinema director Youssif Hussein. The director seeks to exploit her and her mother warns her siblings of the fact whereupon they disguise themselves as extras in order to make their way into the studio to observe her. They succeed in stopping an actor from kissing her on camera. Youssif finds himself in love with Sanaa and asks for her hand in marriage. Sab’awy’s machine succeeds in producing textiles and his in-law offers him the opportunity to work for him for 20 thousand pounds a year. Samy thereafter decides to marry Leyla who has herself agreed to the marriage. Zeezy is left and the future holds trials for her.
