Lady Nazli is an aristocratic woman, whose grandson, Dr. Alaa wants to marry his cousin Shireen, but her mom refuses as he doesn’t have enough money. Shireen suggests that he sell the estate so that they can marry, which his grandma refuses, so she leaves Alaa and agrees to marry the rich man, Latif.

Nazli warns her grandson Alaa of El Kharoubi bey before he leaves for the estate, where he discovers the cause of the problems between El Kharoubi and his grandfather. Zaghloul falls in love with Maha and asks his father, the mayor, to marry her, but he refuses.

El Saftawi asks Zaghloul's assistant to persuade the peasants to sell their land, starting with Zaghloul. Maha convinces Alaa to forget about Shireen, who quarrels with Somaya over Dr. Haseeb. Alaa and Maha confess their love for one another, which Maha's uncle and Alaa's grandma object to.

El Kharoubi approves of Maha and Alaa’s engagement, as does Alaa’s grandma on the condition that they stay with her after getting married, while Shireen’s life hits the skids due to the intellectual gap between her and her fiancé Latif.

Shireen’s mom quarrels with Maha when they first meet. Somaya insists on marrying Haseeb despite her mother's objection due to his financial status. As Zaghloul arrives in Cairo, his assistant persuades him to invest money in El Sabaawi’s company. El Kharoubi gives Maha her share of the inheritance.

Maha offers to lend Alaa money to build a hospital. Somaya marries Haseeb. Zaghloul discovers his assistant's plot with El Sabaawi to sell his land like he did with the peasants. Lady Nazli thinks about reconciling Shireen and Alaa.

Maha quarrels with Alaa for not treating her like he used to, and turning the hospital into a business that doesn’t serve the poor. She leaves the house and discovers that her mom is alive. Haseeb and Somaya consider quitting the hospital due to the greed of its administration represented by Alaa.

When Maha travels to her mother Gamila in Alexandria and tells her about what happened to her with Alaa and his grandma, Gamila decides to help her change her looks and style.

Shireen breaks off her engagement to Latif. Gamila helps Maha change her style. Shireen keeps trying to win Alaa back, upon which her sister Somaya rebukes her. As Zaghloul returns from traveling, El Sabaawi convinces him to open a gallery.

Zaghloul insists that El Sabaawi join him as a partner. Alaa decides to divorce Maha and travels to see her. Nazli is surprised that Adham traveled to see her too. El Kharoubi scolds Nazli, asking her to give Maha her money back. Shireen's mom warns her daughter of causing Alaa to divorce Maha.

Alaa tries to convince Maha to return with him to Cairo and resume their marriage after the change he noticed in her appearance but she refuses and asks for a divorce; meanwhile, Nazli sends Shireen to Alexandria after Alaa so that he doesn’t get back with Maha.

Gamila travels with Maha to El Kharoubi's house, after which the latter decides to file a lawsuit against Alaa and the hospital to get her money back. Alaa divorces Maha and proposes to Shireen.

Nazli gets upset at Alaa's decision to marry Shireen. Safi tries to get close with Latif. Alaa learns that Shireen wants to postpone their wedding after his decision to sell the hospital, so he tells her off, and decides to emigrate.

Maha discovers what her uncle did to Alaa, forcing the latter to sell the hospital, while Somaya tries to patch things up between Maha and Alaa.

Nazli agrees to marry El Kharoubi and forget their old disputes, whereas she tries to convince her grandson Alaa to return to Maha, who welcomes the idea. Somaya gives birth to her first child.
