This 2010 action-thriller stars Angelina Jolie and is directed by Phillip Noyce. Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie) is a CIA agent. While interrogating a captured Russian agent, called Orlov, she is accused of being a KGB sleeper agent. Orlov implies that at the right moment Salt will be triggered and she will transform into a sort of “Manchurian Candidate” that takes orders from a Russian superior. Salt realizes that she has to escape before the CIA learns of Orlov’s accusation. The ensuing dramatic chase and Salt’s actions make one wonder if Orlov was indeed saying the truth.
