As Hamad returns from his travels abroad, he’s received by his father and the people of the tribe; his father thinks about marrying him off to Zuwaina, whereas Hamad meets Jawaher and falls for her.

Hamad tells his father that he loves a girl from a different tribe, while Zuwaina looks forward to Hamad's proposal to marry her.

Hamad’s mother proposes to his father that Zuwaina be betrothed to their son, who tells his father that he loves Jawaher, but the father tries to convince him of the necessity of him marrying his cousin in order to honor the traditions.

Hamad tells Khalaf about his parents' wish for him to marry Zuwaina, so Khalaf proposes that he visit Sheikh Jassem and ask him to mediate and persuade his father to let him marry Jawaher, but Hamad's father insists on his opinion.

Jassem betroths Jawaher to Hamad, and when he goes to Sheikh Mutlaq to tell him about it, he agrees. As Hamad marries Jawaher, Zuwaina becomes brokenhearted upon hearing the news.

Khalaf marries Luluwa. As months pass by, Hamad’s mother starts to worry about Jawaher's not getting pregnant, while Luluwa experiences the early signs of pregnancy.

Zuwaina tries to drive a wedge between Hamad’s mother and Jawaher on account of the latter's not getting pregnant, whereupon Hamad’s mother suggests that her son marry another woman who can bear him children.

Zuwaina ignites the fires of jealousy in Jawaher's heart, telling her that Hamad is looking for another woman in order to marry her and have children. Sheikh Mutlaq betroths Zuwaina to his son Hamad against his will.

As Mutlaq forces Hamad to marry Zuwaina and divorce Jawaher, Hamad falls ill, and Khalaf turns to Sheikh Jassem to mediate on Hamad’s behalf in the matter.

Jawaher insists on a divorce in the event that Hamad marries another woman, and leaves with her parents for her tribe.

As the wedding of Zuwaina and Hamad takes place, the latter sends a message to Jawaher telling her that he doesn’t intend to consummate his marriage to Zuwaina, and when his parents know about it, Mutlaq becomes infuriated.

Hamad asks Jawaher’s father that he remarry her, and she returns with him to his house, after which Mutlaq asks Hamad to have a child with Zuwaina.

As Sheikh Majed insists that Zuwaina and Hamad get divorced in the event that they don’t have children, an angry Jawaher runs out of the house, rides her horse heading for her father's, who finds her in the desert unconscious.
