Souad suffers immensely on account of the way she’s treated by her husband Asaad, who neglects his home and children, while Asaad thinks about leaving them and enjoying his life, especially after he started some illicit business with his colleague Hani.

Hani incites Asaad to leave his children and not pay attention to them, and when Asaad goes to the beach with them, he meets Farida, to whom he becomes attracted.

The café of Souad’s father is threatened by the neighborhood expansion committee; whereas Asaad tells him that he can no longer bear his life with Souad, whom he decides to divorce. Farida's mother is upset with her daughter for rejecting all her suitors.

Carrying on with their illegal business, Hani and Asaad agree to establish a company in the name of Asaad’s son. Asaad proposes to Farida, who’s surprised to learn that he is married and has children.

Farida visits Souad at her home to learn about her life with Asaad, whom Fayez warns not to deal with Hani, while Souad discovers his marriage to another.

Farida offers to let Asaad’s children stay with them after Souad left him, in order not to pay her child support, whereupon he neglects them. Fayez tells his wife to leave the house to set up a new project.

Souad agrees to marry again. Farida's mother advises her daughter to seize her husband's money and not to send it to his children, while Souad's husband begins to treat her children poorly.

When Souad’s son leaves the house, she starts looking for him, while the child goes to his father's house, where Farida treats him badly. Fayez has a tragic accident.

Farida tells Asaad that she is pregnant. Souad’s husband refuses to have her children stay with her. Asaad tells Fayez that he will sign over all his possessions to his wife Farida. Souad’s eldest son is forced to work at a restaurant, and her father dies.

Abdulaziz, Asaad’s son, decides to stay with his friend and leave his father's house. Asaad is surprised by Hani’s getting him mixed up in a shady deal. Farida reproaches her mother for inciting her all the time against Asaad's children.

Abdulaziz learns that Awad divorced his mother Souad. As Tariq’s father loses him while traveling, someone takes him in to raise him, whereas he continues to look for him in vain, becoming severely distressed. Asaad is arrested on charges of embezzlement. Farida dies while giving birth.

Farida's mother raises her grandson. Asaad gets out of prison after many years, during which time his children have grown up, and Abdulaziz got married, as did Laila. Tariq meets his brother Abdulaziz when he applies for a job at the company he works for.

Ahmed, Farida’s son, discovers that he is Abdulaziz's brother. Asaad applies for work as a lowly office attendant at Abdulaziz's company and recognizes him from the chain that Ahmed has that belongs to his mother, upon which he takes them into his arms once more.
