The head of guards Hasanain tells the mayor Mortada that he found a dead man in the sewage. Hasanat criticizes the conduct of her husband, the mayor. She asks Mortada to approve the project to eradicate illiteracy among the women of the village.

Mortada goes crazy upon learning that Badria, his late brother’s wife, negotiated selling the crop of his brother’s land without consulting him. Hasanat asks Mes'eda to announce in the village the opening of literacy classes for the women and men of the village.

As Abdel Aal buys a satellite dish, Nosani spreads the news in the town. Mortada gets angry after he learns that his second wife, Mervat, is pregnant, despite his agreement with her at the beginning of their marriage not to get pregnant.

Bakr quarrels with his sweetheart, Nancy, after he sees her in college with her college mate, then he leaves her and goes away. Naima learns that her colleague Saeed likes her. Bakr quarrels with his sister, Naima, after he sees her with Saeed.

As Damrawi complains to Mortada that a man named Shadouf from the village next to theirs stole his donkey, Mortada sends Hasanain to inform the mayor of the neighboring village, who orders the launching of an investigation into what happened.

After Mortada rushes to the hospital to check on his wife, Mervat, the doctor informs him of the death of the fetus. Mortada divorces Mervat as soon as she leaves the hospital. Megahed asks to marry Sharbat.

When Mallawani asks Megahed's father for an expensive engagement gift, he gets angry and leaves. Mortada learns that Mallawani does not want his daughter Sharbat to marry Megahed. As Abdel Aal proposes to Naasa, her father, Abu Zidan, refuses.

Mallawani asks Badria to buy the entire crop of her land, whereupon he goes to Megahed's father and asks him to buy the fruit crop in exchange for agreeing to his son Megahed's marriage to his daughter Sharbat.

Hasanat gathers the women of El Zaatara village and tries to educate them about their electoral rights in the local council and parliament elections. As Fati offers Saeed a job her in the company with a large pay, Saeed asks for time to think about it.

Hasanat asks her husband, Mortada, to run for a second term as mayor of the village, whereupon Mortada announces in front of the townspeople that he is running for mayor of the village against Mallawani.

As Hamida asks Hasanat to run for mayor of the village, Hasanat refuses and tells her that her position is sensitive, especially since she is the mayor's wife, after which she finds out that Mortada has taken another wife besides her.

Hasanat decides to run for mayor of the village and picks up a candidacy form, then she gathers the women of the village and begins her electoral campaign.

Mallawani decides to withdraw from the elections to support Mortada in the mayoral elections against his wife Hasanat, who tries to mobilize the women of the village to vote for her to tip the scales in her favor in order to win the elections.

Hasanat tells the men and women of the village that her husband offered her a large sum of money in exchange for withdrawing from the elections, but she refused. The mayor goes crazy after seeing his wife Hasanat on a TV show.

The police commissioner approves the results of the elections and announces to the people of El Zaatara village the news of Hasanat's winning. Amid the chants and joy of the village's women at Hasanat's victory, she tries to make peace with her husband and console him after she won the elections.

Abu Zidan agrees to the marriage of his daughter, Naasa, to Abdel Aal, after which Abdel Aal celebrates his and Naasa's wedding, with Mayor Hasanat in attendance.

Hasanat rejects Mallawani's request to import food and fruits from abroad and tells him that the villagers' produce is much better than that imported from abroad. Hasanat seeks Mortada's opinion on the work of the village's young men and women and how to utilize their energy.

Hasanat gets angry with Hilal after she learns that he violated her instructions after offering the men of the village to come to his house to watch movies and channels using the satellite dish he bought, and she warns him not to do it again.

Hasanat agrees with Mallawani to buy computers and distribute them to the men and women of the village to make use of them. Hasanain's men steal the weapons' store from the house of Mayor Hasanat.

Hasanat solves the problem of the weapons before the police commissioner finds out, and she contains the matter. Hasanat tells Mortada that she had surveillance cameras installed around the house without anyone knowing, and that the cameras spotted the thieves while they were stealing the weapons.

Damrawi complains about his wife, Zubaida, to Mayor Hasanat, and tells her that Zubaida kicked him out of the house after he had refused to buy her a computer. Zubaida tells Hasanat that she refuses to let Damrawi return to the house unless she has the right to divorce herself.

Hasanain's men kidnap Ghazala on the day of her and Nosani's wedding. As Hasanat learns that Hasanain and his men are behind the kidnapping of Ghazala, she devises a plan to return her to her husband.

Hasanat tasks Merihan with monitoring her husband, Mortada, and keeping her posted on all the details of his movements. Mortada tries to get his wife in trouble to show the people of the village that she isn't running the village well, but she succeeds every time.

Megahed celebrates his and Sharbat's wedding. Hasanat tells Mortada that she knew about his marriage to another woman a long time ago, but she did not tell him that she knew in order to take revenge on him.

Abdel Aal rejoices as he learns of Naasa's pregnancy. Hasanat catches the criminal Dabe' El Lail. Abu Zidan asks Hamida to give up the position of the head of guards, or else he'll take another wife besides her. Mortada awakes feeling angry and discovers that everything that happened was just a dream.
