Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the Giraffe, and Gloria the Hippo live in the zoo. One day, Marty thinks of experiencing the wildlife, his friends try to stop him but find themselves shipped off by mistake, ending up on the island of Madagascar, where lemur monkeys live in constant threat by Fossa.
