Several years after the alleged death of Chen Zhen, who was shot while pursuing the killer of his mentor in Japanese-occupied Shanghai, he disguises himself and befriends a mafia boss, as he intends to infiltrate a gang that cooperates with the Japanese. He also seeks access to a list of assassinations that the Japanese intend to carry out.
