After getting stranded in Madagascar, the zoo animals attempt to return back to New York, but their plane crash-lands in Africa, where they embark on wild adventures and Alex learns about his royal heritage.
Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Gloria the hippo, and Melman the giraffe are still fighting to get home to their beloved New York, the Big Apple. Their journey takes them through Europe where they find the perfect cover: a traveling circus, which they reinvent - Madagascar style.
