As Hafez works as an employee in the National Library, he devotes his time to reading and tries to write novels. He meets Tawfiq at an antique auction, who offers him to work with him to benefit from his expertise in antiques. As he visits Tawfiq's house, Hafez meets his wife and two daughters, Bahira and Sanaa, who admires him.
