Sakr objects to the marriage of Jamila, the sister of his dead wife Kamra, whom he is falsely accused of killing. On the other hand, Hajj Dalal, Sakr's father is saddened by Sakr's escape from the village.

Sakr meets his father and tells him that he will stand up to Wadi so that he does not marry Jamila because he wants to marry her.

As Sakr is shot by Officer Dahham, Sattar carries him to his home, treats him, and then calls Dr. Mawloud to rescue him.

Dahham searches for Sakr everywhere to no avail. Mawloud tries to hide Sakr after treating him. Dahham also accuses Mawloud of taking pictures of military areas without judicial permission.

Shaker tells Wadi and Mowloud that Sakr is innocent and that the one who shot Kamra was Dahham. When Hajj Dalal learns the truth about his son’s innocence, he goes looking for him.

Hamid refuses to marry off his daughter, Jamila, to Wadi until he returns to live in Baghdad. On the other hand, Mawloud meets Maha, who is being followed by Watheq.

Jalil gets killed, and the villagers try to find the killer amid the escape of Sakr, who is helped by Lieutenant Shaker. Mawloud meets Watheq at the center where he works, and Watheq tells him he is going to marry Maha and that he must stay away from her.

Hamid wants to kill Sakr, so he hits him in the arm with a bullet. As Sakr escapes and tries to extract the bullet himself, Dahham asks the villagers to kill him, and the lieutenant controls the situation and defends Sakr.

Watheq beats Mawloud and tries to steal the tests he did. Maha is saddened by what happened to Mawloud.

Everyone believes that Amjad has traveled; however, Amjad is held hostage by Watheq's men. Saboteurs enter the research center and throw test tubes on the ground. Lieutenant Shaker tries to prove that Dahham is the murderer to acquit Sakr.

Dahham kills Shaker after Naeem steals the bullet and gives it to him. Amjad is also detained, so the manager of the research center asks Wadi and Mowloud to settle their affairs with Watheq and then return to work to avoid problems.

As Mawloud agrees with Watheq to pay off Maha's father's debt to him, Wadi decides to return to the village to marry Jamila. On the other hand, Sattar provides Sakr with information about everything happening in the village.

Maha's father is arrested after Watheq submits the documents to the court, and Maha is very sad. Wadi and Mowloud postpone their trip to the village.

Watheq beats and threatens Wadi without Mawloud's knowledge, and Maha seeks to get her father out of prison. Wadi also flees to the village in disguise.

Mawloud decides to marry Maha, and they flee outside Iraq as they are afraid of Watheq's retaliation. However, Mawloud has to travel illegally as his documents do not meet the conditions.

Fouad helps Mawloud escape as part of a group of smugglers, and Watheq threatens Fouad. Jamila runs away from her home and seeks refuge with Sakr. Maha's father dies in prison.

Sakr, Sattar, and Jamila exchange fire with Dahham and his men, and Sattar is killed. Sakr and Jamila escape to Basra. Mawloud is attacked by the State Security, and a number of his companions are killed.

Shera saves Mawloud from death and hosts him in her home amidst her cousin's anger. On the other hand, Sakr and Jamila arrive in the south.

Mowloud wakes up from a coma and discovers that he is in the South with the Kurds. As Mowloud listens to Shera's story, Sakr tries to find work but fails.

While the relationship between Mowloud and Shera grows stronger, and he loves her son very much, Maha believes he has died after his passport was found with traces of blood on it. Hamid gets paralyzed after Jamila's disappearance.

Wadi returns with Maha to the village and tells his family that she is his wife, and Dahham tries to find out the details. Watheq detains Fouad to tell him where Maha is.

Mawloud asks Shera not to get attached to him, and the clinic that Mawloud set up in the area burns down.

Mawloud travels with his caravan to bring medicines and reopen the clinic. Sakr becomes seriously ill and Jamila feels very sad for him.

Sakr travels with Jamila to Shera's village, searching for treatment. Mawloud is still on his way to find medicines from merchants.

Mawloud returns to the village with the medicines, opens the clinic, and appoints Sherine, Shera’s sister, to help him. Sakr reaches the clinic of Mawloud, who is very happy to meet him and Jamila and decides to treat Sakr for his illness.

Wadi tells his family and Mowloud's family the truth about Maha after she gives birth and takes her to Mowloud's parents to live with them until Mowloud appears.

Sakr's health condition improves, and Mawloud helps bring medicines despite the siege imposed by the government on the region. Sherine likes Sakr without revealing her feelings to him.

The problem of bringing medicines to the village ends due to the intervention of Sakr's friends. Amjad is released by the new Director General of State Security.

Maha treats patients in the village. While Amjad returns to his position in State Security, Watheq tries to hide any evidence that incriminates him.

Sakr decides to travel to his village, and Jamila and Mowloud bid him farewell. Amjad finds Fouad and frees him from detention, and Watheq wants to repudiate all his crimes.

Fouad recovers and tells Amjad everything that happened to him because of Watheq. Jamila is saddened by Sakr’s departure, and he stalls while trying to infiltrate the village.

Sakr meets Hamid, Jamila's father, and reassures him about her well-being. Sakr also tells Maha that Mawloud is still alive, but he is shocked by the news of his father's death. Watheq and Amjad confront each other, and Watheq kills himself.

Dahham kills Sakr by stabbing him in the back, and Jamila returns to the village. Mawloud decides to leave the South and return to the village after Maha learns he is alive.
