As Laila reports Youssef's murder, Rawya tells his twin brother Khaled that Youssef got what he deserved. A flashback shows how Laila proposed an idea for a project that Youssef approved, and how he got close to her and told her about his problems with his wife.
Youssef's father takes Youssef and Laila's unregistered marriage paper. Rawya warns him that Laila could use her pregnancy to seize the inheritance. The lawyer Emad takes an interest in Laila's case.
Nour and Monira visit Laila who informs them that her marriage paper has gone missing. Laila's mother reflects on her daughter's marriage to Youssef and how he refused to announce their marriage. Monira hires Emad to defend Laila.
Al-Ma'dawy threatens not to acknowledge Laila's son. Ragaa asks Nermine for information about Laila whom she feels is innocent. Laila is transferred to the prison's hospital after a fainting spell. Emad determines that he can win Laila's case.
Mervat tells Emad that Galal wants to set a date for their wedding. Laila tells Emad that Youssef might have hidden their marriage paper in his chalet in El-Agamy. Rawya seizes the companies and deprives Youssef's wife of everything. Laila is sentenced to 14 years in prison.
Laila is transferred to Tora prison where she meets Nagwa. Sofia demands her inheritance. Al-Ma'dawy tries to have Laila killed in prison. Monira becomes conservative and asks Nour to officially propose to her.
As three inmates assault Laila, Laila fights with one of them. Laila's mother, Shams, dies. Khaled has trouble having a child. Emad and Mervat visit their late mother's friend.
Al-Ma'dawy hires a new lawyer and plots to have Laila get the death sentence. Khaled is bitter that Rawya has her eyes on his father's fortune. Emad appeals Laila's sentence.
Galal admires Laila. Monira thinks about death and the afterlife. Laila tries to kill herself. When Emad confesses his love for her, she breaks down.
Sofia tries to win Al-Ma'dawy's favor and brings his grandchildren to live with him. Eman visits Mokhtar, the husband of his mother's friend, to offer his condolences for his son's death.
Laila gives birth. Ragaa insinuates that Emad and Laila are in a relationship in one of her articles. Khaled becomes depressed and starts drinking.
Emad tells Mokhtar that he feels lost and that life is worthless. Monira dons a hijab and quarrels with a client whom she accuses of harassing her. Salem asks Monira to see a psychiatrist.
Al-Ma'dawy asks his lawyer to frame Emad for a crime to make him lose his license. Sofia visits Laila who tells her that she killed Youssef because he tried to abort her. Hany asks Khaled to get him a job in the company. Laila's appeal is accepted and a retrial is scheduled.
Al-Ma'dawy makes Sofia one of the company's managers. Laila is released and goes to live with her uncle. Hany and Rawya get close after he starts working in the company. Sofia tries to get close to Khaled.
Al-Ma'dawy asks Khaled to marry Sofia. Laila's cousin tries to kick her out. Laila returns to Cairo and visits Monira who recieves her coldly.
Laila takes her son Sajed to Al-Ma'dawy's house. Al-Ma'dawy remembers how Youssef told him that he will not allow Laila to get pregnant. Hany tries to get between Khaled and Rawya. Nagwa tries to find Laila after she is released from prison.
Mervat warns Ragaa against defaming Emad and Laila. Nagwa quarrels with Galal and reminds him of his relationship with her. Al-Ma'dawy asks Sofia to try and lure Khaled in.
Khaled divorces Rawya. As Eman has a heart attack and dies, Emad tries to console Mokhtar. Khaled apologizes to Sofia and takes Rawya back. Al-Mansoury gets Galal to steal important case files from Emad's office.
Laila consoles Mokhtar. Galal decides to start his own law office. Emad discovers that an important case's files have gone missing. Galal assaults Al-Mansoury.
Galal tells Nagwa that Al-Mansoury swindled him. Nour goes to ask for Monira's hand, but he is shocked to discover that she agreed to marry someone else. Soliman accuses Emad of selling his case's files to his rivals. Sofia discovers that the company's accounts have been tampered with.
Emad proposes to Laila. As someone claims that he bought the case file from Emad, Laila warns Emad about Galal and Emad accuses Galal of stealing the file.
Laila is hesitant to accept Emad's proposal. Mokhtar is transferred to the hospital. Emad is suspended after false testimonies are given against him at the Egyptian Bar Association.
Rawya's uncle, Mazen, tries to kill Al-Ma'dawy. Laila and Nagwa plot revenge. Monira's fiancé breaks off their engagement. Galal confesses to stealing the case file.
Hany promises to help Rawya with Al-Ma'dawy after they start an affair. Khaled wants to get close to Sofia. Monira's mother asks Nour not to abandon Monira. Rawya confronts Khaled about his relationship with Sofia.
Nagwa double-crosses Al-Ma'dawy. Monira starts taking sedatives without informing her doctor. Emad and Laila are arrested for prostitution after Nagwa helps to frame them.
Laila has three inmates beat Nagwa who confesses that she sold Laila out to Al-Ma'dawy. Laila is released on bail. Galal asks for a job in Al-Ma'dawy's company. Mokhtar decides to help Emad and Laila take revenge on Al-Ma'dawy.
Rawya visits Mazen at the mental hospital. Ragaa hints that she found out information about Mazen. Nour gets close to Mervat. Rawya discovers pictures of her mother and Al-Ma'dawy.
Laila warns Shimaa against falling for Mokhtar. Monira remembers how Youssef admired her and how he grew to regret marrying Laila. Emad helps Mokhtar find employees for his company.
As the new lawyers start working at Mokhtar's new firm, a lawyer tells Mokhtar that Al-Ma'dawy might have killed his brother and caused Mazen to go crazy. Al-Ma'dawy tells Ragaa about how his father used to prefer his younger brother over him.
Ragaa confesses her love for Al-Ma'dawy. Laila reflects on how Youssef knew that she didn't love him and that their relationship was a part of a plan. Walaa insists on visiting Monira in the mental hospital.
Monira confesses that Youssef wanted to marry her. Walaa's father asks her to keep in mind that Laila was defending her baby. Laila tells Emad to think carefully about his wish to marry her.
Sofia returns from London. Emad threatens Kamal and Salem. Walaa starts to fall for Emad and tries to help him with his license. Galal threatens Al-Mansouri.
Walaa asks Emad to open his office in the wake of his disbarment. Laila reminds Monira that she killed Youssef for her after he lured Monira to his villa. Mokhtar tells Emad that he is going to marry Shimaa.
Emad is deceived and gets informed that Youssef legally married Laila before his murder. Laila learns that Kamal is the one behind it.
Rawya promises to testify to Laila's marriage to Youssef for a price. Mokhtar proposes to Shimaa.
Khaled tells Rawya that he is going to divorce her. Laila sees Monira sitting with Emad. The journalist Adel informs Ragaa that he is going to investigate the death of Al-Ma'dawy's brother. Al-Ma'dawy feels lonely.
Laila and Kamal agree to send a guy to Emad to convince him that Youssef and Laila were legally married.
Laila's uncle dies. Emad doubts Youssef's marriage to Laila. Mervat advises him to think carefully about the case instead of letting his emotions guide him.

Nour asks Khaled to look after Sajed. Ragaa questions the validity of Laila's marriage certificate. Hany and Galal are arrested. Rawya fights with Al-Ma'dawy who locks her up in his villa.
Nour asks Mervat to marry him. Galal turns Rawya and Hany in. Laila remembers how she suffered from her father's negligence and had to marry Youssef for money.
Sofia hopes for children with Khaled. Laila's uncle's wife notices that Laila is neglecting her son. Mokhtar marries Shimaa. Emad tries to get close to Walaa.
When Khaled and Sofia return from their honeymoon, Khaled releases Rawya and learns that his father killed his own brother. Mervat tells Emad that she loves Nour. Khaled vows to restore Rawya and Sajed's rights.
Al-Ma'dawy refuses to help Ragaa after she is dismissed from the Journalists Syndicate. Nightmares haunt Monira. Emad is proven innocent of the file's theft.
Emad tells Laila that he is not in love with her anymore and that he doesn't think that she is innocent. Hany and Rawya plot to seize Khaled's money. Laila asks Monira to take her to a psychiatrist. Rawya threatens to expose Al-Ma'dawy if he doesn't give her what she is owed.
Nour gets engaged to Monira. The devastated Monira suffers from a relapse and goes to the psychiatrist. Laila confronts Emad about his relationship with Walaa. Rawya and Mazen plot revenge on Al-Ma'dawy.
Hany learns that Monira is seeing a psychiatrist. Khaled and Sofia try to have a baby. Laila remembers how Youssef confronted her about how she only wanted his money. Monira has a breakdown.
Rawya tells Laila that she will only get her inheritance if Al-Ma'dawy dies or if she married Khaled. Rawya thinks about getting rid of Sofia. Al-Ma'dawy helps to prove Ragaa's innocence.
Laila asks Khaled to stand by her and Sajed. Shimaa tells Mokhtar that she is pregnant. Monira resigns from Mokhtar's firm.
Sofia is suspicious of Laila and warns Khaled about her. Rawya threatens Laila. Mazen confronts Al-Ma'dawy in front of Khaled.
Monira tells Hany that Youssef confessed his love for her before his murder. Hany tells Galal that Youssef's murder was premeditated.
Nagwa, Galal, and Hany plot revenge on Al-Ma'dawy with Rawya and Mazen. Laila is declared innocent.
Laila kicks her cousin and his mother out. Emad proposes to Walaa. Mazen assaults Al-Ma'dawy who gets paralyzed. Laila takes charge of the company.
Emad asks Nour to try and figure out what Monira is hiding about Laila. Walaa tells Mervat that Youssef's murder was premeditated. Monira confesses that Laila knew that Youssef was pursuing Monira.
Shimaa reads Mokhtar's diary and starts to suspect that he doesn't love her. Galal tells the police that Rawya is locked up in Khaled's villa. Khaled asks Emad to be the company's legal counsel.
Sofia and Ragaa host Shimaa who tells them about Laila. Mokhtar asks Al-Ma'dawy to raise Sajed. Hany confesses that Laila forged her marriage certificate.
Monira is haunted by nightmares of Youssef chasing her. Laila thinks about leaving Egypt. Khaled assaults Rawya after she insults him.
Khaled rapes Rawya. Emad confronts Laila about her murder of Youssef. Khaled tries to get Monira and Laila to admit to killing Youssef. Sofia gets pregnant.
Rawya tries to kill Khaled but stabs Sofia instead. Al-Ma'dawy denies killing his brother and asks Sofia not to report Rawya to the police.
Khaled confirms that Youssef's murder was premeditated and enlists Emad's help to prove it. Hany threatens Monira. Laila denies forging the marriage certificate.
Laila overhears Khaled telling Sofia that she killed Youssef. Rawya tries to poison Al-Ma'dawy but accidentally kills Walaa instead. Sofia accuses Laila of killing Walaa. Rawya discovers that she is pregnant.
Sofia asks for a divorce. Emad is admitted to the ICU after Walaa's death. Rawya tries to win Khaled's favor. Al-Ma'dawy decides to raise Sajed. Emad decides to defend Laila.
Khaled confronts Rawya with her involvement in Walaa's death. Rawya loses the baby and is admitted to a mental hospital. Khaled and Emad sedate Laila and report her for Youssef's murder.
