After cutting connections with the Bluth family, Michael Bluth finds himself in financial difficulties after some new developments in his own firm. The family suffers a lot after Pete's death.

Lucille is imprisoned after Lucille Austero testifies against her. She joins a group of Chinese gangsters who turn against her when she causes problems, whereupon Lucille enters Austero's rehab clinic, where Tobias attends to her.

As he receives a new job opportunity with Michael, Gob strives to concentrate when he gets enmeshed in several schemes that are disrupting him.

After she fails to work as a producer without a high school diploma, Maeby illegally enrolls in high school again. Moreover, she re-establishes her bond with her cousin, George-Michael.

While attempting to reconnect with his father, George-Michael becomes burdened by the duty of running Fakeblock, a software for an electronic woodblock. Meanwhile, he is caught up in a love triangle with his father and his girlfriend.

Buster is having difficulty dealing with both Lucilles while trying to fix his increasingly odd relationship with his mother, which he finds tough.

George-Michael relocates to a Sudden Valley home after purchasing it from Gob for the sake of his father. Rebel pays a visit to George-Michael and begins to have doubts about their bond. Maeby seeks vengeance on George-Michael for dismissing her.
