Engineer Hashem's uncle, the unjust mayor Mansour, tries to force him to marry his daughter because of an old agreement with his brother, despite Hashem's feelings for his colleague Fawzia, which puts Hashem in deep confusion about how to confront the injustice and corruption of his uncle, who spreads ignorance among the villagers.
