Stephen and Shannon, an American couple head to Puerto Rico to finish their adoption papers for a new daughter, a 7-year-old Haitian girl named Nina. Events take a turn when the new family meets a crazy local man, (John Cusack), on the beach. Two nights later Nina disappears from her bed.

An American married couple discover an underground scam while traveling to Haiti, and must risk their lives to save their daughter and return to the U.S.
