Living in a family where the father treats his daughters harshly and prevents them from using technology, Joud is in unspeakable distress, and her only wish is to break free and confess her feelings to the man she loves.

The father scolds his daughters upon learning that Hayat has a mobile phone. Sami ponders his wife's miserliness and her constant suspicion of him. Meshaal recalls how and why he and his wife got divorced, as Joud reminisces over her love for her cousin Meshaal.

Hayat tells Donia that she has feelings for someone. Meshaal rejects the idea of marrying Joud because she is not suitable for him. Salwa begs her father for money, which enrages her husband, Sami.

Joud tells her father that Salwa is feigning poverty to swindle him out of money. Joud takes her sister's advice and contacts Meshaal, and she quarrels with a colleague who has taken it upon her shoulders to find Joud a suitor by showing her picture around.

The girls get anxious when their father doesn't return home, and Joud asks Meshaal to help find him. It turns out that their father went to the airport to meet his other wife and his son. His wife plots to have her husband's daughters disinherited.

Soliman doesn't return home, and Meshaal suspects he has taken another wife. In the absence of her father, Joud gets increasingly worried about her sisters.

Meshaal's proposal to marry Donia comes as a slap in Joud's face. Soliman returns home with his second wife and his son, resulting in a fierce conflict between the wife and his daughters.

Quarrels resume between Salwa and her siblings. Joud informs Donia of Meshaal's wish to marry her. Sami quarrels with Salwa over her extreme stinginess. Joud learns that the driver Mahboub is using the house for his own benefit as he has turned it into a barber shop.

Amira plots with her son to convince Soliman's daughters individually that their father has left half of his fortune to one girl, and the other half to his son. Amal and Joud get new jobs, but this only comes with trouble as their colleagues treat them contemptuously.

The four daughters learn of Amira's plot. Amira urges her husband to find his daughters a new apartment. When the school transfers their daughter to the hospital, Sami gets enraged at his wife for severely beating their daughter.

Amira and Zain persist in annoying Soliman's daughters to force them out of the house. Sami and Salwa quarrel over her mistreatment of their daughter. After meeting Amal's friends, Joud decides to change the aspects she doesn't like about herself.

Amira redecorates the house and comes up with a plan to wed the daughters off. With Amal's help, Joud's transformation starts to take shape. Donia gets closer to Meshaal.

Amira forces Joud out of her room and turns it into Zain's room. Zain gets close to his two sisters Donia and Hayat. Joud tries to approach Meshaal.

Amira learns that her son has hit a girl with his car and that she was transferred to the hospital in a critical condition. Meshaal sister-zones Joud.

Meshaal reprimands Zain for his mistreatment of his sisters and urges him to try to win them over. Joud learns how to drive a car. Sami convinces Salwa to host his mother at their apartment in exchange for money. Donia reproaches Joud for approaching Meshaal.

Joud gets upset when Meshaal gives her the cold shoulder. Amira gives her husband sedatives to trick him into selling the house. Sami's mother moves in to live with him and she learns that Salwa is pregnant.

News of Meshaal and Donia's relationship shock and sadden both Joud and Amal. Donia admonishes Amira for not caring for Soliman. A prospective suitor proposes to Hayat, and Salwa tells him that Hayat is epileptic.

Fajr, Sami's daughter, is kidnapped, and the family tirelessly looks for her. Amira's plot to have Soliman write over his fortune to her and her son succeeds. Soliman is hospitalized. Donia urges Meshaal to officially propose to her.

Soliman reveals to Joud that Salwa's friend Jamila is the one who kidnapped Fajr. Sami brings his daughter back. Joud is shocked to learn that Amira sold the house and took all the money.

Now that their house is sold, Soliman and his daughter stay at their aunt's, Meshaal's mother. Hamza gets closer to Hayat, and Meshaal tells Joud he loves her. Sami grows cold with his wife as he develops a crush on Jamila.

Salwa quarrels with her husband and her mother-in-law when she learns of Sami's relationship with Jamila. Hamza asks for Hayat's hand. Amal's relationship with her workmates gets better.

The girls' stay at their aunt's house becomes financially burdensome. Sami beats Salwa up and she asks for a divorce; Meshaal tries to reconcile the two of them.

Hamza uncovers the murder of a young man. Salwa gets mad at her sisters for not informing her of Hayat's engagement. Meshaal's indecisiveness agonizes both Joud and Donia.

Jamila asks Sami to marry her. Meshaal's mother encourages him to marry Donia. Joud grows resentful of her sister Salwa's mistreatment of her husband.

Hamza and Donia are being chased. Joud compassionately looks after her father now that he has gone mad. Amal's mistreatment of her son angers Rahaf. Donia plots to have Meshaal question Joud's morality.

As Soliman's mental state continues to deteriorate, Donia suggests that they admit him to a mental hospital. Sami's mother approves of her son's marriage to Jamila to teach Salwa an unforgettable lesson. Zain leaves his mother and moves into Hamza's house.

Hayat tells Joud it was unwise of her to hide her feelings for Meshaal. Jamila is devastated when Sami gets back with his wife. The night of Hayat and Hamza's wedding turns into a funeral as Hamza has a tragic accident and Zain is taken to the hospital, leaving Hayat to lament her loss.

Donia grows impatient as Meshaal leaves the city. Salwa takes her father in because he is going from bad to worse. Fajr steals her mother's money and gives it to Amal's son. Salwa's father leaves the house.

Salwa accuses her mother-in-law of stealing the money and the gold, but the truth is shortly revealed as Amal urges Salwa to drop the case against her son. Joud and Hayat incessantly look for their father. Meshaal returns home and tells his mother that he got married.

It turns out that Meshaal married Amira because of an old feud between Meshaal's father and Soliman. Meshaal seizes Soliman's money. Zain, now paralyzed, chooses to isolate himself.
