Mahjoub is a strict manager in a government institution, and Rabeh works for him. When Jaafar, the director of a private contracting company, finds several ads hanging on the walls calling for demonstrations, he gets angry and orders their removal.

As El Sherif goes to visit Jaafar at home, his mother-in-law, Jalila, wants to kick him out. Jalila refuses to let El Sheif see his son. When Mahjoub sends Rabeh to work for Jaafar, he refuses to hire him.

As Mahjoub holds a lunch on the occasion of his promotion at the institution, Rabeh organizes the banquet. As Jaafar goes to visit his father and gives him some money, his father is sad because his son has become like a puppet in the hands of his wife's family.

Jalila gets angry when Karim goes to his grandfather, El Sherif, and asks Jaafar not to let his children go to visit him again because he always praises Moncef Bey. Jalila asks Jaafar to send Rabeh to be her driver, while Rabeh lives in a rental apartment and the landlord asks him to pay the rent.

Lilia meets her ex-boyfriend, Wahid, and she tells him that she has not married yet and has devoted her time to her work as a doctor. As Rabeh tells Jalila the news of El Sherif, he tells her that he sells his antiques to support himself; she prevents Karim from visiting him again.

Rabeh refuses to get engaged to his sweetheart because of his difficult financial situation. Jaafar submits to Mahjoub a report on the project that the company will undertake. Wahid's mother is sad that her son did not marry and looked after her at the expense of him living his life.

The businessman Abdul Latif asks Jaafar to partner up with him; Rabeh is spying on the conversation between them. Wahid asks Lilia to marry him without her mother's approval and come to live with him. Rabeh decides to start a small project of his own and asks Mahjoub to finance it.

As Mahjoub returns to become the general manager of the company Jaafar works for, he rejects his contracting proposal. Lilia tells Jalila that she loves Wahid and does not want to marry the suitor she suggested. El Sherif invites the maid and the cook to eat with him.

Someone breaks into Jaafar's office and signs some documents with his own stamp. Jalila invites her friends and El Sherif to the opening of her exhibition where she has specially bought all the artifacts of Moncef Bey, which El Sherif sold them. El Sherif has a heart attack when he sees the artifacts.

El Sherif is transferred to the hospital after what he saw in Jalila's house. Jaafar knows that Lilia is the girlfriend of his friend Wahid. Lilia gets to know Wahid's mother in his house. As Karim is arrested on charges of theft, his father bails him out because he is a minor.

As Lilia decides to leave the house, she officiates her marriage to Wahid in the presence of Jaafar and his friend, who are both witnesses to the marriage contract. As Hamza gets out of prison after thirty years, he goes home.

As an intruder breaks into Warda's house, Hamed defends her, but he gets arrested for attempted murder and is sentenced to three years in prison. As Khamisa works as a doctor in the area, she lives alone with her late father's servant; she's subjected to gossip because she is unmarried.

As Lamjad wants to resign, Abdel Baqi intervenes to prevent him. Mahmoud wants to demolish the old houses in the area, establish a real estate company, build homes, and sell them to the residents, but the municipal president refuses and calls Abdel Baqi to intervene.

As Mahmoud marries Abdel Baqi's daughter, Fatima, the residents' homes are demolished, and Mahmoud undertakes the construction of new homes with the help of Abdel Baqi. Warda refuses to marry a stranger in response to her father's will.

Wahid gets angry after learning that his father was released from prison when he thought he was dead all those years. He also discovers that Jalila was married to him, and she plotted to seize all his possessions. Jaafar is surprised when a video is sent to him incriminating Mahjoub.

Mahjoub suggests to Jaafar either to go to prison or travel, as all the documents of the deal are in his name, after Rabeh stole his seal and signed them; Jaafar decides to escape. As Wahid leaves Lilia after learning about her mother, Lilia grieves. Mahjoub continues his work.
