When James and Sarah's kite is carried away by the wind, Fireman Sam graciously offers to recover it from Dilys' shop's roof.

Bella's potatoes are being picked by Sarah and James on an extremely hot day. Fireman Sam wants to lend a hand, but when a barn fire takes place at Pandy Lane Farm, it becomes his top priority.

As Trevor Evans starts his first day as a firefighter, he faces a real challenge, as he and Sam handle various tasks.

Fireman Sam tries to assist when Trevor's bus is delayed due to a flat tyre, but trouble ensues in Pontypandy when Trevor steps in to replace the tyre.

Things don't go as planned when Fireman Sam takes Sarah and James camping on his day off, as the bus goes up in flames and the tent begins to burn.

By placing a fake call and subsequently setting off the fire bell, Norman causes difficulties for the fire crew, but when his head gets trapped in a railing, he needs their assistance.

The fire crew is busy because they had intended to paint the station, but a chip pan fire prevents that, and then Trevor gets caught in a tree while attempting to save Rosa.

While Station Officer Steele appears on television to provide fire safety tips, Bella's television catches fire, making it impossible for anybody to watch as Sam and Elvis handle the fire.
