Naeema and Nasser have a loveless marriage. Naeema's father dies and they return to Morocco. Meanwhile, Hassan and his wife Umm El Kheir return for his father's inheritance, only to discover the father had a son with an Egyptian woman who will receive a share from the inheritance.

Hassan's first wife Kawthar asks him for child support or else she will go to court. Meanwhile, Naeema asks the lawyer for her brother's address in Cairo and travels with Hassan to search for him.

Hassan and Naeema arrive at Cairo and meet their stepmother's sister who tells them her sister Laila's story with their father Saeed. After Laila had a child with him called Metwally, Saeed abandoned her and went back to Morocco, marrying their mother and having them.

Metwally arrives at Casablanca after learning about his siblings, but Hassan refuses to give him his share in the inheritance. Metwally, however, has come for his family, not for money, and signs a waiver for his rights. Hassan then feels guilty and apologizes for misjudging his brother.
