Gary, a widowed man, finds it challenging to bond with Emma, his 11-year-old daughter until he encounters an enigmatic woman named Mary.

Gary unexpectedly encounters Mary once more and opens up about his most difficult experiences as a father. When Mary disappears, Gary pursues her.

Mary confronts a frightened Gary, tells him her complete story, and unveils the truth about her husband's fate. She tries to convince him of her belief; however, Gary remains unwilling to listen.

Emma extends an invitation to Mary for dinner. Despite Mary's fear that Gary might disclose her secret, Gary cannot overlook the strong bond Emma has forged with Mary.

Gary and Mary embark on a camping trip to disclose Mary's secret to Emma. However, during the trip, Mary realizes she is pregnant and becomes apprehensive about what might be growing within her.

While on a weekend in the Australian outback, Gary and Emma learn about Mary's secret. However, as their car battery fails and the full moon looms, Mary finds herself compelled to flee to safeguard her newfound family from the werewolf within her.
