Khudair and Abu Jumah join the literacy school. Sanaa, the principal, welcomes them and informs them of the rules. She is upset about Abu Jumah sleeping in the morning line. Khudair quarrels with the latter for sitting in his place in the class, and the teacher, Hasib, reconciles them.

Khudair objects to the way the Arabic language teacher explains the lesson. Umm Jumah suspects that her husband is cheating on her, and the latter actually tries to court the school cafeteria administrator, Warda.

Khudair takes his mother to school and introduces her to the principal, Sanaa, at the International Acquaintance Day party. Khudair asks Abu Jumah to sing instead of him at the party.

The class teacher is upset with Khudair for wasting class time. Khudair is forced to revise his English lessons due to his academic failure and fear of the exam, so he agrees with Abu Jumah and Abu Ghayeb to write the lesson on the classroom desk.

The teacher, Jabr, is surprised when Khudair gags all the students in the class so that he can sleep. Jabr gives them a pop quiz, so Khudair cheats on the quiz, and the granddaughter of Abu Ghayeb takes over as his teacher.

Khudair and Abu Jumah vie to get closer to the administrator of the school cafeteria. When Khudair and Abu Ghayeb don't remember the lessons, the math instructor gets into an argument with them, and the teacher Hanan gets angry for the same reason.

Abu Jumah excels in English to gain the approval of Hanan, the teacher. Sanaa, the principal, rejects Khudair’s request to leave school to go finish a chore regarding his home. Jabr objects to celebrating Abu Faisal’s birthday.

Khudair asks his twin brother, Abu Hani, to take his place at school while he is on private errands. The latter almost causes Khudair’s secret to be revealed when he reads and writes everything, as Sanaa and Hanan are amazed at his excellence and ability to read.

Abu Jumah asks Khudair to help him ask for the cafeteria administrator’s hand in marriage. When Khudair returns to school and his brother Abu Hani leaves, he fails to answer questions during lessons, and Hanan becomes suspicious of the matter.

Khudair's mother becomes ill, so Abu Hani has to go to school to tell his brother, and the principal Sanaa discovers that they are twins. Abu Ghayeb asks the teacher Hanan to help him teach him words to welcome his sister.

The teacher Hanan pretends to be explaining the lesson and asks Abu Sami to pretend that he is sleeping, but he actually falls asleep during class. Hanan heads to his house to get to know his mother and his family.

Principal Sanaa asks the students to come with their parents, and asks Abu Sami to fix the school roof due to rainwater leakage. Abu Jumah becomes jealous of him when the cafeteria administrator expresses her admiration for his work.

A parents' conference is held, and Abu Sami brings his mother, and Abu Ghayeb also brings his granddaughter, who helps him study his lessons. Abu Jumah is surprised to find that his wife is attending. Hanan gives an oral exam, which Abu Sami passes.

Sanaa organizes a school trip for the students. Abu Sami and Abu Jumah play games with the teacher Hanan. Abu Sami pretends to understand English and reads a medical analysis report for his neighbor. He tells him that he is healthy despite his severe illness.

Abu Jumah celebrates with his friends the news of his wife’s pregnancy. The end-of-year exams are held, then the students’ graduation ceremony is held at school. It turns out that Abu Sami was dreaming and has not yet enrolled in literacy classes.
