A Japanese actor and singer, born in Kobe in 1934. He studied at the school of law at Keio University, but didn't finish his studies to pursue acting. He made his acting debut in the 1956 movie Season of the Sun, and then appeared in a large number of Japanese films, including Crazed Fruit, The Eagle and the Hawk and Man Who Causes a Storm. He also co-starred in the Egyptian-Japanese movie On the Banks of the Nile. He died in 1987 at the age of 52.
