Biography

An Egyptian lyric poet, born on July 1, 1905 in Shebin El-Koum, Kafr Shenwan village, Menoufia Governorate. After receiving his primary education, he started writing poems and songs which were compiled in the book, "My Songs", which was used by many singers on the radio since...Read more 1948. He wrote the lyrics in the films Congratulations to You (1949), and Trust in Allah (1954). He became a well-known poet at the time of renowned poets such as Badiea Khairy and Bayram Al Tunisi. He died on January 27, 1977.
