Ali Ragab was born on March 25, 1964 in Alexandria, Egypt. He studied engineering at Alexandria University. Initially, he worked as an assistant director in several movies such as Dantella, and Hassan and Aziza. In 2000, he directed his first movie The Cinema's Macho Guy, starring Ahmed Adam, followed by several other movies, such as Auntie Faransa, and Bittersweet Life of Bolteya.
