An Egyptian singer, her real name is Taqwa Hussein Abdel-Fadil, born on September 16, 1912. She was one of the first to sing on the Egyptian radio when it opened on May 31, 1934. She visited and sang in many Arab countries, and she also performed many roles in films like: Determination (1939), I Love Wrong (1942) and Rabha (1945).
