He is an Egyptian actor, director, and playwright, born in Alexandria in 1896. He studied at the Freire Schools, then joined the theater with Iskandar Farah troupe, then joined the troupes of Salama Hijazi and Aziz Eid. He's known for the movies The Smiling Sea, and The Clog Maker in 1928.
