An Egyptian author, born in 1926 in Tanta, Gharbia Governorate. He graduated from the Faculty of Law, Cairo University in 1949 after dropping out of the Faculty of Medicine. He joined the judiciary system and worked in prosecution and judiciary until his retirement. He became a Deputy Minister and Technical Adviser to the Ministry of Culture for eight years. He wrote many articles on poetry, short stories, theater, and cinema. He also wrote TV series and movies such as At Whom the Moon Smiles? (1986), and Knocking on My Door (1989).
