An Egyptian musician, born on July 12, 1914, born in Cairo. He learned the basics of music and playing the oud, and studied Arab folk music as well as Western music. He worked as a teacher at the Music Union Institute, and the schools of the Institute of Education, and joined the...Read more radio in the mid-1940s. In 1946, he formed his own orchestra, which was one of the pillars on which the Radio Music Orchestra was founded, and he was appointed the latter's maestro in 1952. In the early seventies he was active in the field of composing songs, in addition to working as a composer on radio and television productions. Among the films he scored are Abu Halmoos, and Anyone to Listen to Me?. Ali Farrag passed away on July 9, 2009.
