An Egyptian actress, who was born in 1916. She made her debut as a singer in 1941 when she sang in the operetta Scheherazade. Then, she worked for a period in theater before moving to cinema through the movie, Tenderness (1944), after which she played many roles in film, TV and theater till the 70s. She is known for The Secret of Vanishing Cap (1959), and Cairo 30 (1966). She died in 1974.
