Abbas Kamal is an Egyptian writer, director and cartoonist. He directed nearly 20 films, ranging from drama to comedy, the most famous of which was “Fairouz Hanim” (1951). Kamal also wrote more than 25 screenplays, and he was one of the first Egyptian directors to create literary works of cinema.
