He graduated from the Central Academy of Motion Picture and Drama Sciences in 1976. After which he received a scholarship in London to study the art...Read more of editing and directing. He wrote and directed the British film Julia in 1978, then the movie Waiting Room in 1980 and The Nutcracker in 1983. In Egypt, he produced the British-Syrian-Egyptian movie Race Against Time in 1993, then presented the movie Gamal Abd El Nasser in 1998.
