He was a radio presenter, director, screenwriter, film and television producer, and agricultural engineer. He served as the head of the Coordination Committee between the Egyptian Professional Syndicates, took over as director of the Arab Television Festival, and was elected as a member of the Council of the Syndicate of Film Professions.
