An Egyptian director, writer and producer, born in 1935. He obtained a BA at the Faculty of Commerce in 1958. He began his career in 1959 as an assistant director for a number of directors, including Hassan El Emam, and Atef Salem. He directed many films, including: Reborn (1965), Fog Street (1966), and A Woman for All Men (1971). Among the films which he wrote are A Woman for All Men, and We're Living in the Present.
