An Egyptian director, producer and writer, born in Cairo in 1967. She studied engineering, but soon quit it to study at the High Cinema Institute and graduated from it in 1992. She started her career as a director of programs at the Nile Drama Channel, then directed the comedy...Read more series Youth Online, and in 2004, she directed her first movie ever, Best Times. In 2006, she won the Best Director Award at the Cairo Film Festival for her second movie, Cut and Paste. She directed the movie Nawara (2015), which was screened at many film festivals and won many awards in Egypt and abroad.
