An Egyptian actress of Lebanese descent. She began her career in the late thirties, where she worked in plays and then in films and played many roles, often those of the old lady, the witch and the fortune teller. Among her most important films Something from Nothing, The Cup of Torment, and Wahiba the Gypsy Queen.
