A French writer, director, and actor, born on March 30, 1895 in Manosque, Alpes-Haute-Provence, France. He was the head of the jury at the 1961 Cannes Film Festival. His works include Harvest, Crésus, Un roi sans divertissement, and Les cavaliers de l'orage. He died on October 8, 1970 in Manosque, Alpes-High Provence, France.
