Ali Reda was an Egyptian dancer, actor, and film director, born on December 2, 1924. He founded with his brother, Mahmoud, the Reda Troupe. He worked as an assistant director, coach, and choreographer in several films. He directed films in which the Reda Troupe starred, such as Mid-Year Vacation, and Love in Karnak. At a later stage, he directed various films, such as Oh, Night and Time, My Painful Life, and Amm Ahmed's Case. He died on April 24, 1993.
