She is an Egyptian actress and dancer who was born in the city of Tanta in 1929. She spent a large time of her life in the circus owned by her family, until she became the first star of the circus from the age of four till the age of fourteen. She began working in the field of cinema in the late forties, where she initially appeared as a dancer in the movie The Lady of the House, but she presented her first acting roles through the movie Bread and Butter in 1949, after which she participated in many films until the mid-sixties Including: The Circus Girl, and Four Girls and an Officer. Naima Akef retired in 1964 to take care of her only son, but two years later, she died due to complications from cancer at the age of 36.

Is an Egyptian actor who started her career in the ‘Aakef Circus, her family where all circus numbers and acrobatic games were performed by family members. Although she quickly became the cleverest circus girl, yet she dreamt of becoming a film star. Hence actor Sou’aad Mekkaawy encouraged her and introduced her to “Nahhaas Films” where she worked with Youssef Wahby in his film “Shaadeyat al-waady i.e. Singer of the valley”. Her talent was discovered by director Hussein Fawzy who gave her a number of lead roles and later married her. She became one of the most famous musical film stars and became its symbol. Two years before her death of cancer, she retired and spent her time taking care of her only son from Accountant Salaah Abdul Aleem, her second husband.
