Sanaa Mazhar is an actress who shined in the 1960s. She was one of the three girls in the film “Baeat El Garaed” (The Newspaper Seller) alongside Magda and Na’eema ‘Aakef. Sanaa married a man outside of the artistic community, who was killed in the 1973 War. Sanaa never married again. She acted in a number of historical films, including “Ala Hamish El Sira” (On the Margins of the Prophet’s Life), and played the Queen Bilqis. Then she began wearing the hijab and stopped acting completely.
