Fatin Abdel Wahab was an Egyptian screenwriter and director. He was born in 1913 in Bab el Khalq, Cairo. He started his life as a civil servant, then volunteered in the Egyptian army, and eventually retired in 1954. He was most famous for being a diverse film maker, who has excellent skill in controlling actors. His most recognized body of works is the series of comedic films he made with the legendary comedian Ismail Yassin, entitled “Ismail Yassin in....”. A lot of the films were set in military barracks and air force bases. He also directed a series of documentary films entitled “Mashroua'at Althawra fi Khams Sanawat” (The Revolution's Projects in Five Years).
