An Egyptian singer born on July 20, 1928 in Desouk. His father took him out of school and he worked in mechanical workshops. He memorized the Qur’an and graduated from the Fuad I Institute of Music in 1949. He was discovered by Anwar Zaalouk and became famous for presenting folk...Read more and wedding songs. His most famous songs include: "Adawyia" and "Kaab El Ghazal", as well as the radio operetta Adham El-Sharkawy. He collaborated with Baleegh Hamdy and Abdelrahman El Abnoudy in many successful songs. Roushdy appeared in a number of films, including The Circus (1968) and Sultan (1958). He passed away of complications of kidney failure on May 2, 2005.
